The lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center is
probably the most famous celebration of its kind, and this year it
will take place Nov. 28, 7-9 p.m. If you're not among the thousands
crowding in to watch the event live in midtown Manhattan, you can
watch from home on TV or stop by in person any time through Jan. 3.
Nickelodeon is producing a 30-minute, unscripted pilot based on
R&B; singer Chris Brown's back-up singers. The show will follow
Scooter, 11, and Miles, 9, as they tour with Brown, who will appear
on camera as well as executive produce the as-yet untitled show
along with his manager Tina Davis.
Hot Springs Village Players' Guys and Dolls was a solid success.
There were no flagging moments, just the onward thrust of
uproarious entertainment. The musical numbers were strong and the
acting talents of the cast were flawless. The colorfully costumed
gangsters were a big hit.
